Growing up as a French-speaker in the bilingual Swiss city of Biel/Bienne, I naturally took an interest in German from a very young age. Swiss German was like a secret language to me, a code that I could gradually decipher. Very soon, I was helping my French-speaking and German-speaking classmates communicate in the school playground: without even realising it, I had probably already found my vocation.

After graduating from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (business school) in Saint-Imier, I travelled to Australia to perfect my English. I then worked in my first profession for a few years, but soon realised that something was missing – passion. It was at that point that during a journalism traineeship at a local television station, someone asked me to do a job that nobody else wanted to do: to translate a text from German into French. That was to be a real watershed moment for me!

I then went on to pass the entrance exam for the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in 2003, graduating with a degree in translation from German, English and Italian into French in 2007. My career kicked off with a contract in Singapore for a renowned Swiss bank, where I also benefitted from in-house training in financial translation.

When I returned to the shores of Lake Zurich with 4 years of in-house experience under my belt, I decided to take the plunge and set up my business in 2013:

On this note, I’d like to say a big thank you to the colleagues who helped and supported me when I started out, and to all the clients who have placed their trust in me – I will keep making every effort to ensure your continued satisfaction.
